Progressions & Peak Poses
Service Description
This is a 90 min workshop style class designed to help students enhance their physical yoga practice through a focused exploration of strength, balance, and postural mechanics. Using peak poses and arm balances as teaching tools, we will break down alignment, weight distribution, and muscle engagement to build confidence and control in more challenging postures. Throughout the workshop, breath technique will be intentionally revisited and refined, helping students learn how to match their breath to the effort, stability, and duration of each pose and transition. Emphasis will be placed on using breath to support power, maintain steadiness in holds, and move with greater efficiency rather than force. Students will explore intelligent progressions, preparatory shapes, and accessible variations, allowing them to approach challenging poses with clarity and awareness. The goal is to develop a deeper understanding of how strength, structure, and breath work together to create a more sustainable and confident practice. This workshop is ideal for practitioners looking to refine technique, build functional strength, and integrate breath with movement, and is best suited for intermediate students and motivated beginners seeking to advance their practice with intention.
